Walk: set up a school year

From an empty school to a year with terms, classes and subjects, on the demo school.

Administrator

Walked on 2026-10-31, the local demo school (Greenfield Academy)

Role: Administrator. This walk assumes:

  • An administrator account on the demo school
  • No academic year created yet

This walk starts with a school that has signed in for the first time and ends with a year that is ready for students.

The walk

  1. Open Academic years and create the year, named 2025/2026.
  2. Add three terms: First term, Second term, Third term.
  3. Open Classes and add JSS 1A and JSS 2A.
  4. Open Subjects and add Mathematics and English Language.
  5. Check the year screen lists the year and its three terms.
