Correct a mark

A change with a reason, a review where the school requires one, and the earlier value kept.

TeacherAdministrator

A correction is a record of its own: the earlier value, the new value, who asked, why, and who approved it. The mark's history is the point.

The correction path

  1. Open the class's results and find the student and subject.
  2. Ask for a correction and state the reason.
  3. The request is reviewed by someone other than the person who raised it, where the school requires review.
  4. When approved, the new value applies. The earlier value stays visible with both names on it.

After publication

A correction changes the result the school would publish now. It does not change what was already published. Both exist, and a new publication adds a new version.
