Set up how a subject is graded

The method, the decimal places and the bands a letter is read from.

AdministratorTeacher

A subject's result is worked out from its assessments and the school's own grading rules. The rules belong to a subject, a class and a term.

Stating the rules

  1. Open Grading and choose the year, term, class and subject.
  2. Choose the method: sum, average, weighted, or category.
  3. State the decimal places and, where the school uses letters, the bands.
  4. Save. A change to a published term reissues the record as a new version and asks why.

One decision, applied everywhere

The school's decimal places and rounding are applied everywhere the result appears, so a past term keeps its own answer.
